The leaflet is published by Cambridgeshire County Council's Countryside Access Team every year in two six monthly editions to encourage people to enjoy events being held in the countryside. It is full of walks, wildlife activities, archaeology, arts and crafts and many more events taking place outdoors in the Cambridgeshire countryside. This leaflet is a useful guide to what is on offer in the county and offers opportunities to get outdoors, get more fresh air and exercise, be active and explore new interests whatever the weather. Kate Day, Countryside Access Team Leader for Cambridgeshire County Council, said: "Encouraging people to be more active and adopt healthier lifestyles can be hard, but with all the opportunities on offer within this leaflet, there is something for everyone no matter what age. People can also experience the countryside in their own way if they'd prefer by using the public path network that we as a team maintain, as this links communities and allows access to the wider countryside." The Countryside Access Team produces the leaflet as part of the team's continued role of maintaining, improving and promoting access to the countryside. It contains a selection of monthly listings of events from a wide range of sources in one handy publication. Not all events will fit into the leaflet and so a full list is provided on the website. Copies of the newest edition of the leaflet covering January - June 2007 are available from libraries, Tourist Information Centres, museums, Cambridge Park and Ride sites, country parks and other places of interest around the county.
