This week I have received reports from other regions that this type of crime is still popular with the criminal fraternity. They are still using the old con that they represent the water board, and they are in the area checking out reports of leaks. Other methods used to gain entry are whereby they state they have lost their ball and it has gone into the householders' garden. Look out for the elderly and less able. If you see a suspicious vehicle in your neighbourhood just jot down the registration number and note the time/date. DO NOT BE CONNED CHECK THEM OUT LEAD THEFTS The Police are still receiving a large number of reports relating to the above type of crime. All types of unattended buildings appear to be getting targeted. These include churches, schools, social clubs and halls.
