Every Sunday from now until July 15 inclusive people choosing to come into Cambridge on Sundays by bus can enjoy discounts at Scudamore's, on the City Sightseeing Tour, at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden and in First Class Teas. Anyone using one of the three Park & Ride sites (Trumpington, Madingley Road or Newmarket Road) open on a Sunday or one of the other local bus services coming into Cambridge on a Sunday operated by either Stagecoach or Myalls can use their ticket to have a truly memorable day for less. Cambridge is famous for its punts and Scudamore's are offering Sunday bus passengers some fantastic rates on both day hire and hourly hire. For example the usual day hire rate for a punt is £90 but as part of this promotion Scudamore's are offering bus passengers on Sundays a day rate of just £50, which makes taking the bus very worthwhile indeed. The Cambridge University Botanic Garden is also offering adults who travel into Cambridge by bus on Sundays a reduced entry fee to see their amazing display of over 8,000 plant species in beautifully designed landscapes. The Botanic Garden is at its best from late spring to early summer and its entrance on Bateman Street is perfectly situated for users of Trumpington Park & Ride, being less than 100 metres from the Bateman Street bus stop. The Cambridge City Sightseeing Tour has always been a favourite when visiting Cambridge and now anyone with a valid dayrider or megarider from Stagecoach can enjoy £1 off the Tour ticket price any day of week including Sundays. What's more if people buy Tour tickets from one of the Park & Ride sites they can use Park & Ride for free. It's not all action, Sunday bus passengers can also enjoy 10% off their food and drinks bill at First Cass Teas which is a brand new high quality teashop located in Peas Hill, just off Cambridge Market Square, next to the Arts Theatre. Cambridgeshire County Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for Environment and Community Services said: "I am delighted Cambridgeshire County Council has been working in partnership to provide residents with so many good reasons to use Park & Ride and their local bus services on Sundays. There is so much to do in Cambridge on Sundays and I really hope that people take advantage of the offers available and explore what Cambridge has to offer."
