Date: 21 March 2008 14:15 Advance information Park & Ride Fare Increase - 6th April 2008 Dear All I wanted to let you know that from Sunday 6th April 2008 the Park & Ride return fare will be increasing to £2.20 (it is currently £2). In addition the Babraham to Addenbrookes fare will be increasing to £1.70 (it is currently £1.50). However the Park & Ride weekly ticket, which allows 7 consecutive days unlimited travel on Park & Ride services, will be remaining at £9 offering customers great value for money. As you are no doubt aware Park & Ride fares have not increased since April 2006 but with the service facing significantly higher operational costs due to the rising cost of fuel, the increase in fares on the return tickets has become necessary. A press release regarding the fare changes will be issued shortly ensuring people are given sufficient notice ahead of the Easter holiday period. As a service Park & Ride has delivered considerable benefits to its customers over the last year with the arrival of a new fleet of buses and the installation of off-bus ticket machines at all of our sites (with the exception of Cowley where ticket machines will be installed later this year as the site is relocated to a new site near Milton).
